About the role
As a WordPress Web Designer & Developer at The Vjal Institute, your primary responsibility is to create and maintain high-quality web pages, especially landing pages, ensuring excellent performance and reliability. You will be managing hosting and technical operations, as well as handling integrations with the membership and learning ecosystem. Your role will involve using WordPress and Elementor as the primary tools, along with MemberPress for memberships/subscriptions, and integrating with tools like LMS, Xano DB, and SSO. Primary Responsibilities: - Website Design & Development (WordPress + Elementor) - Design and build web pages in WordPress using Elementor with a focus on clean UX and brand consistency. - Create reusable components to keep the site scalable and consistent. - Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility basics, and high-quality QA. - Landing Pages & Campaign Builds - Build high-performing landing pages for campaigns and product launches. - Implement forms, CTAs, and page layouts provided by marketing. - Maintain speed and performance best practices. - Membership & Subscription Website Operations (MemberPress) - Configure and maintain MemberPress for pricing, checkout flow, access rules, and member account pages. - Troubleshoot membership-related issues and ensure membership flows reflect business rules. - Integrations & Technical Connectivity - Maintain and troubleshoot website integrations with tools like LMS, Xano DB, and SSO. - Debug issues across WordPress/plugins and integration points. - Hosting, Reliability, Security & Maintenance - Manage hosting and website operations, ensuring uptime monitoring and backups. - Maintain performance fundamentals and basic security hygiene. - Ongoing Site Improvements & Support - Maintain existing pages, content edits, design refreshes, and bug fixes. - Keep documentation for key site systems to reduce future downtime. Secondary Responsibilities (Marketing Support / Enablement): - Implement on-page SEO basics and support tracking implementation. - Help maintain cookie consent banners and assist with basic reporting readiness. Required Skills & Experience: - Solid experience with WordPress websites and Elementor. - Proficiency with Elementor, MemberPress, HTML/CSS, and front-end fundamentals. - Ability to manage hosting and site operations and integrate with third-party tools. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with GA4/GTM implementation and technical SEO. - Experience with SSO flows, Xano integration, and CRO. In the first 6090 days, success in this role will be demonstrated by quick shipment of landing pages, stable MemberPress flows, well-documented integrations, reliable website operations, and effective support for marketing initiatives.
