About the role
As a WordPress Web Designer & Developer at The Vjal Institute, your role is crucial in creating and maintaining high-quality pages on our website. Your primary responsibilities include: - Website Design & Development (WordPress + Elementor) - Design and build web pages using Elementor with a focus on clean UX and brand consistency. - Create reusable components to keep the site scalable and consistent. - Ensure cross-browser compatibility and high-quality QA. - Landing Pages & Campaign Builds - Build high-performing landing pages for campaigns and product launches. - Implement forms, CTAs, and layouts provided by marketing. - Maintain speed and performance best practices. - Membership & Subscription Website Operations (MemberPress) - Configure and maintain MemberPress for pricing, checkout flow, and member accounts. - Troubleshoot membership-related issues affecting the website experience. - Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure membership flows reflect business rules. - Integrations & Technical Connectivity (LMS, Xano DB, SSO, etc.) - Maintain and troubleshoot website integrations with existing tools. - Debug issues across WordPress/plugins and integration points. - Hosting, Reliability, Security & Maintenance - Manage hosting and website operations including backups and updates. - Maintain performance fundamentals and basic security hygiene. - Ongoing Site Improvements & Support - Maintain existing pages with updates, design refreshes, and bug fixes. - Keep documentation for key site systems to reduce future downtime. In addition to the core responsibilities, you will also provide Marketing Support by: - Implementing on-page SEO basics. - Supporting tracking implementation. - Assisting with reporting readiness. To excel in this role, you should have strong experience in WordPress website development, proficiency with Elementor, experience with membership/subscription websites, front-end fundamentals, and the ability to manage hosting and site operations. Familiarity with GA4/GTM implementation, technical SEO, and CRO is preferred. Your success will be measured by the timely delivery of landing pages and website updates, stable MemberPress flows, well-documented integrations, reliable website operations, and effective support for marketing initiatives.
