POSITION: SAP BTP INTEGRATION LEAD

LOCATION: Riverwoods, IL or NYC - Day 1 onsite

We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Lead with 15+ yrs of progressive experience in Implementation to design, lead, and manage integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems. The role involves driving integration architecture, ensuring seamless data flow, and aligning with business and customer requirements in complex SAP landscapes.

Integration Architecture & Design

Define and design end-to-end integration architecture for SAP landscapes

Lead integration strategy across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and third-party systems

Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions

Technical Leadership

Lead development and implementation using SAP CPI (BTP Integration Suite), PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, RFCs, OData, Web Services

Provide technical guidance to integration developers and cross-functional teams

Review solution designs and ensure adherence to best practices

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and external vendors

Act as the primary point of contact for integration-related discussions with customers

Translate business requirements into technical integration solutions

Governance & Quality Assurance

Define and enforce integration standards, guidelines, and governance frameworks

Perform code reviews, design validations, and quality checks

Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards

Support & Continuous Improvement

Provide support for integration-related issues and production incidents

Drive continuous improvements in integration processes and tools

Stay updated with latest SAP integration technologies and recommend enhancements

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP PI/PO

Expertise in API management, REST/SOAP services, IDocs, RFCs, OData services

Experience in SAP S/4HANA integrations and cloud-based integrations

Knowledge of event-driven architectures and middleware platforms

Exposure to EDI integrations and third-party systems

Understanding of SAP modules like FI/CO, SD OTC, MM P2P, etc.

Experience in end-to-end business process integration

Proven experience in leading integration teams and workstreams

Experience in Agile/Waterfall project methodologies

Strong knowledge of integration lifecycle and delivery frameworks

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment

Experience Requirements

15+ years of SAP experience with a focus on integration

4–6 years in a lead or architect role

Experience working with global clients and distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation programs

• Knowledge of SAP BTP services and cloud-native integrations

• Familiarity with event mesh, API gateway, and microservices architecture

• SAP Integration certifications (CPI/BTP) are a plus
