As the Group Manager - Digital IC Design, your primary role involves leading a digital design team and coordinating activities in Bangalore related to digital IC design. You will be responsible for ensuring the technical, commercial, and quality requirements of the project are met. Your duties also include monitoring, coaching, and optimizing the digital design development process and methodology. Additionally, you will support the acquisition of new projects and participate in defining strategy goals. Key Responsibilities: - Provide disciplinary team guidance and coordination for the Bangalore digital team in terms of resources, processes, methods, and tools. - Set up the project plan, including all relevant documents such as project time schedule, development cost, team, and risks, in collaboration with IC developers. - Define, assign, and track work-packages for the digital design team. - Support the team with concept work, system design, and effort estimations. - Evaluate technical and development risks with IC developers and create mitigation plans. - Regularly track design progress versus project time schedule, reporting any discrepancies to customers. - Lead milestone reviews with the development team and report results to customers and line management. - Acquire new digital projects and review verification documents with IC developers. - Implement configuration and change management, quality assurance management, and identify areas for process improvement. - Drive strategic planning, cross-functional alignment, budget management, and enhance competencies within the Bangalore site. - Foster an innovation culture within the team and focus on efficiency within the digital design and verification team. Qualifications and Experience: - Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or a similar qualification. - 14+ years of experience in leadership and digital design in automotive product development. - Proven expertise in digital design development processes and methods for ASIC & FPGA implementation. - Experience in design, verification methodologies, and development tools. - Previous leadership experience as a group or program manager. Skills: - Strong leadership skills and initiative. - Effective decision-making abilities and result orientation. - Excellent analytical skills and self-organization. - Clear communication skills and customer focus. - Motivation, inspiration, and teamwork capabilities to achieve common goals.
