Software Engineer SDE 1

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Avoma, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the server-side of the platform. Key Responsibilities: - Develop features and enhancements for the Avoma product ensuring security, thorough testing, and optimal performance. - Collaborate with Product Management and various stakeholders within Engineering to uphold high standards of quality in a dynamic and iterative setting. - Advocate for enhancements in product quality, security, and performance. - Address technical challenges of moderate scope and complexity. - Write code that adheres to internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices in a high-scale environment. - Conduct Code Review to ensure optimal performance of backend services. - Create RESTful APIs and features for UI application clients, including Web and Mobile. - Deploy and integrate with machine learning models developed by the AI team. - Take ownership of the core data processing pipeline and video processing pipeline. - Handle third-party integrations such as Calendar, CRM systems, and Video Conferencing. - Manage search and analytics infrastructure along with DevOps and security tasks. Qualification Required: - 1-3 years of experience as a Software Engineer. - Must be on-site at Pune. - Proficient in Python and Django. - Experience in building RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with AI tools like Cursor/Claude Code and various prompting techniques. - Knowledge of System Design using AWS services and Python/Django frameworks. - Ability to write scalable, high-performant, and clean code. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a relevant engineering field. - Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal. - Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to effectively communicate about complex technical issues and propose thorough solutions. - Experience in addressing performance and optimization problems. - Comfortable in agile and iterative software development processes. - Positive and solution-oriented mindset. - Strong communication, inclusion, and visibility skills. - Experience in leading projects from concept to production. - Ability to collaborate effectively with different parts of the organization. - Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence technologies and tools.
