About the role
Role Overview: As a highly technical QA/SDET engineer at our company, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for building a next-generation Windows File System Analytics & Security Observability Platform. Your expertise in Windows file systems, SMB protocol, automation, debugging, and backend validation will be crucial to the success of our platform. Key Responsibilities: - Build scalable automation frameworks using Python to streamline processes - Validate Windows file system scanning and analytics pipelines to ensure accuracy and efficiency - Validate SMB-based file operations and access behaviors for seamless functionality - Analyze Windows Event Logs, audit logs, telemetry, and diagnostics to identify and address any issues - Perform scale, performance, stress, and reliability testing to ensure the platform's stability - Debug complex issues involving NTFS, SMB, storage, and networking for optimal performance - Collaborate effectively with backend, platform, security, and data engineering teams to achieve common goals Qualification Required: - Strong Python programming and automation skills - Strong QA/SDET background with backend/system testing experience - Strong understanding of Windows File System/NTFS, ACLs & file permissions, File metadata & audit events, and SMB/CIFS protocol - Experience debugging Windows logs and system issues - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills - Experience with API, integration, and data validation testing Additional Company Details: The company values individuals with a strong engineering mindset, excellent debugging capability, deep technical curiosity, ability to work independently, ownership-driven attitude, and passion for automation and quality engineering.
