About the role
Job Summary The Administrator Standard III – M365 Administrator is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing the Microsoft 365 environment—including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related cloud services. This role ensures seamless collaboration, system reliability, strong security posture, and efficient user support. The position requires advanced technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to support enterprise‑level operations. Key Responsibilities
- M365 Platform Administration
Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related applications. Manage user identities, accounts, groups, and permissions across M365. Configure and maintain mailboxes, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and email security policies.
- Security & Compliance
Implement Microsoft 365 security measures including MFA, conditional access, DLP, and retention policies. Monitor and enforce compliance features such as eDiscovery and governance policies.
- System Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Monitor system health and performance of cloud services and take proactive action. Troubleshoot issues related to access, connectivity, Teams, email, and collaboration tools using admin center tooling and PowerShell.
- Automation & Optimization
Automate administrative workflows using PowerShell scripting. Implement best practices to optimize performance and reduce manual effort.
- Collaboration Platform Management
Administer SharePoint—site creation, permissions, document libraries, and site collections. Manage Teams policies, meeting configurations, and integration across M365 apps.
- User Support & Training
Provide Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 support for M365 users, ensuring minimal downtime. Deliver user training on M365 collaboration tools and security practices.
- Migration & Integration
Assist in migration projects (e.g., on‑prem to cloud, tenant‑to‑tenant) and application integration involving M365 services.
- Documentation
Document configurations, workflows, procedures, policies, and changes.
Experience Requirements
Typically 3–5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration. Experience supporting enterprise‑level cloud environments and security‑driven operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills
Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 admin center, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Proficiency in PowerShell for automation. Knowledge of identity management (Microsoft Entra ID), security policies, and compliance tools.
Soft Skills
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability. Strong communication and user‑support skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Education & Certifications (Preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent field. Microsoft 365 certifications (MS‑102, MS‑700, MS‑900, AZ‑104) are advantageous.
