Senior/Lead Research Engineer

As a Senior/Lead Research Engineer at Bert Labs, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge cloud applications based on a microservices architecture. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and executing the development efforts for both the client-side (frontend) and server-side (backend) of our microservices architecture-based cloud applications. - Integrating user-facing elements with robust server-side logic to ensure seamless functionality and high performance. - Actively participating in the entire application lifecycle, with a strong focus on development and rigorous testing. - Taking ownership of projects end-to-end, which involves gathering requirements, solutioning, designing architecture, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining systems. - Collaborating closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to build a robust machine learning platform. - Working with Software Backend Engineers to provide a seamless user experience for complex, high-traffic applications. - Partnering with Embedded Firmware Engineers to build a robust end-to-end IoT solution, connecting hardware with cloud capabilities. - Embracing an Entrepreneurial Leadership role by innovating daily and consistently pushing beyond current capabilities. - Staying abreast of emerging technologies and proactively identifying opportunities for their adoption within the Bert Platform Solution. In terms of qualifications, you should have: - An Engineering degree from IITs/BITS/NITs/Jadavpur University/DTU/Top Engineering Institutes in USA, Europe, UK/NUS. - Proven relevant work experience of 5 - 10 years as a Software Developer in a Product, Platform, Deep Tech, AI, IoT, Semiconductor, or Embedded Systems company. - Demonstrated experience in managing projects end-to-end, including gathering requirements, solutioning, designing architecture, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining systems. - Excellent data structure & algorithm and problem-solving skills. - Strong hands-on experience in Angular and preferably Next.js. - Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and JavaScript. - Good understanding of any OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) based programming language. - Proven experience in understanding complex user needs and providing practical, production-ready solutions. - Excellent communication and leadership skills to enable effective collaboration across diverse teams. Preferred qualifications that would be considered a bonus include experience in Mobile App Development and knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
