About the role
Area(s) of responsibility Windows / Hyper‑V Architect – Job Description
Drive VMware to Hyper‑V or legacy to modern platform migrations (Azure)
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems
Define standards, best practices, and governance models
Architect and manage Hyper‑V clusters (Failover Clustering)
Design HA/DR solutions including replication and failover
Experience with SCVMM deployment and management
Perform host sizing, VM sizing, and capacity optimization
Troubleshoot performance, storage, and cluster issues
Strong experience in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
Manage Active Directory (multi-domain, forest, trusts)
Design and support DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
Implement and manage patching, hardening, and compliance
Experience with Azure (IaaS, AVD, Azure Arc)
Design hybrid solutions (on-prem + cloud integration)
Implement DR solutions using Azure Site Recovery
Knowledge of identity integration (AD, Azure AD)
Work with SAN/NAS solutions (Dell, NetApp.)
Design storage for Hyper‑V workloads (CSV, SMB shares)
Good understanding of networking (VLAN, vSwitch, load balancing)
Strong scripting in PowerShell
Exposure to Ansible / automation tools
Experience with monitoring tools (SCOM, Azure Monitor)
Lead data center migration and transformation projects
Execute physical to virtual (P2V) and platform migrations
Perform application dependency mapping and migration planning
Define and implement operational runbooks and SOPs
Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements
Work closely with cross-functional teams (network, storage, security)
Provide L3/L4 support and RCA for critical incidents
Design and implement Windows Server & Hyper‑V virtualization solutions
Lead architecture, capacity planning, and infrastructure design
Experience in ManageEngine AD Manager Plus for user provisioning, access management, and AD reporting
Skilled in automation of AD tasks (user creation, password reset, bulk operations) using AD Manager Plus
Hands-on experience with Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME) for server monitoring, lifecycle management, and hardware health tracking
