About the role
Role Overview: As a Manager of Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering, your primary responsibility will be to design and govern enterprise database architecture across various cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and OCI. You will be instrumental in driving modernization, migration strategies, and cost-performance optimization while ensuring scalability, security, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Design end-to-end database architecture for cloud and hybrid environments. - Lead large-scale database migration programs from on-premises to cloud. - Define standards for HA/DR architecture, backup and security policies, naming conventions, and governance. - Evaluate and recommend database platforms including Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Managed Instances, NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB and MongoDB. - Architect multi-region disaster recovery solutions. - Optimize cost, performance, and scalability of database solutions. - Define automation frameworks using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates. - Collaborate effectively with application, infrastructure, and security teams. - Provide technical leadership and support to the DBA team. - Participate in RFPs, solution design, and customer discussions. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a cloud architect with significant exposure to Azure/AWS cloud-based environments. - Azure certifications and AWS certifications are preferred.
