About the role
Role Overview: As a ProC Developer - Technical Specialist in the Data Engineering area, your main responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions, focusing on stored procedures, functions, and triggers using ProC/PL-SQL within Oracle or similar environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that business requirements are efficiently translated into scalable and secure systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design, code, and maintain ProC modules, Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and packages. - Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. - Optimize SQL queries, tune database performance, and ensure efficient execution. - Conduct unit testing, end-to-end testing, and assist QA teams in debugging database issues. - Provide on-call production support, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve server/service issues. - Monitor database health, maintain backup/recovery procedures, and implement security controls. - Create clear technical documentation and follow coding standards, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools like Jenkins. - Gather feedback, identify process improvements, and propose enhancements to database architecture. - Work in Agile/Scrum environments and participate in regular sprint planning and code reviews.
