Lead DevOps Engineer

As a member of the Cloud Services team at BMC, your role will involve deploying infrastructure platforms in public, private, and hybrid clouds. You will be responsible for architecting, maintaining, and supporting new data center deployments, as well as ensuring the software versions of Kubernetes and Rancher are up to date. Your primary roles and responsibilities will include: - Supporting and maintaining private and public cloud deployments on various platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, and others. - Maintaining and supporting all platform deployment software, including K8, Rancher, OKE, GKE, IKS, and EKS. - Developing and maintaining automation through tools like Terraform, GO, Python, Jenkins, and Ansible. - Deploying data center environments on both bare metal and virtual instances. - Providing assistance with architectural design for Capacity and Performance Management, Data Center Rollouts, and Consolidation. - Working independently with minimal supervision, handling problems of diverse scope, and assessing risks based on complexity, resource, and timeline constraints. The experience we are looking for in potential candidates includes: - Strong knowledge and 8-11 years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins. - Proficiency in Change & Incident Management Tools. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with a global team. - Previous experience deploying in AWS, Google, Oracle, and private cloud providers. - Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for problem-solving. - Experience working in cross-functional teams and influencing outcomes. - Comfort with working in 245 support shifts, with rotation occurring once every 2 months. It would be valuable to have additional qualifications such as: - Experience in GO and Python. - Certification in Kubernetes (CKA). - Certifications in ITIL, MCSE, AWS, GCP, and OCI, providing an added advantage.
