As a Lead Platform System Admin at BMC, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and supporting highly available, secure, and scalable application platforms across hybrid cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing and supporting production application environments to ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security. - Leading incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis for critical production issues. - Designing and maintaining application infrastructure architectures across hybrid cloud platforms. - Enforcing IT governance, security policies, and compliance standards for applications and infrastructure. - Implementing DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, security analysis, remediation, and integration. - Collaborating with application, network, security, and platform teams to troubleshoot and assess business impact. - Driving continuous improvement initiatives for application upgrades, patching, and infrastructure optimization. - Providing technical leadership, stakeholder communication, and cross-team coordination. - Participating in 24x7 on-call rotations as required. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 6+ years of experience in Application Infrastructure Design, DevOps/DevSecOps, and Enterprise IT Operations. - Proven experience in large-scale enterprise environments. - Hands-on experience with Application Infrastructure Architecture (Hybrid: On-Prem, SaaS, PaaS), Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, AIX), Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure), Microsoft Power Platform, MLOps/AIOps, Containerization & Orchestration (Kubernetes, JFrog), CI/CD & Automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Incident, Change, and Problem Management (Remedy or equivalent ITSM platforms). Whilst not mandatory, the following skills are considered advantageous: - Identity & Access Management (Okta SSO, LDAP, Active Directory). - Testing Tools (Postman, ReadyAPI, SmartBear TestComplete). - Integration Technologies (webMethods EAI, webMethods API). - Monitoring & Observability.
