As a Product Owner at BMC, you will play a key role in transforming cutting-edge products to meet the rigorous demands of enterprise customers. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the transformation of a startup-level solution into a robust enterprise-grade product for global organizations. - Collaborating with engineering and QA teams to ensure technical feasibility and deliver solutions aligned with customer needs. - Planning product deliveries, documenting detailed requirements, scheduling releases, and publishing roadmaps. - Maintaining a strategic backlog of prioritized features. - Driving cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless product delivery and customer satisfaction. - Distilling complex business and technical requirements into clear, concise PRDs and prioritized feature backlogs. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skillset & experience: - 3 years of software product owner experience in an enterprise/B2B software company. - Solid technical background, preferably with previous experience as a developer or QA. - Deep familiarity with public cloud services and storage services. - Strong understanding of ETL/ELT solutions and data transformation techniques. - Knowledge of modern data Lakehouse architectures. - B.Sc. in a related field or equivalent. - Experience leading new products through ideation, research, planning, development, and go-to-market cycles. - Fluent English, spoken and written. - Willingness to travel occasionally. Nice-to-have skills that can be developed with the team's assistance include: - Background as a DBA or system engineer with hands-on experience with databases. - Knowledge/experience of agile methods and related tools. - Experience with ETL/ELT tools. - Understanding of programming languages commonly used on z/OS. - Understanding of z/OS subsystems. - Experience in Cloud-based products and technologies.
