Job Description - Software C++ Developer Company: BMW TechWorks India Experience: 3 to 8 Years Location: Pune (Hybrid) Role Summary BMW TechWorks India is looking for an experienced Software C++ Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for next-generation automotive applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Modern C++, object-oriented design principles, and system-level programming, with the ability to develop robust, scalable, and high-performance software components. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Modern C++. Develop efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices. Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to create scalable software architectures. Analyze, debug, and resolve software defects while ensuring high code quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and continuous improvement activities. Optimize software performance, memory utilization, and execution efficiency. Contribute throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from design to deployment. Required Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience in C++ development . Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts: Abstraction Encapsulation Inheritance Polymorphism Strong knowledge of Modern C++ (C++11/C++14/C++17) , including: Smart Pointers Lambda Expressions Standard Template Library (STL) Multithreading Templates Copy Constructors Function Overloading Inline Functions Vectors Pointers and Memory Management Good understanding of Data Structures and Operating System fundamentals. Basic knowledge of Embedded Systems and microcontroller communication protocols such as I2C and SPI . Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including: OSI Model TCP/IP Protocol Suite Experience in software development, debugging, testing, and defect resolution. Knowledge of Python will be considered an added advantage. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline. Experience working in Agile software development environments. Exposure to version control systems such as Git is desirable. Automotive software development experience is a plus.
