Java Support Engineer

About the Role This is an Application Specialist role and is much more than traditional L2/ L3 support. The role involves application ownership in a production environment , troubleshooting critical issues, automation, and continuous improvements. Over time, you'll be expected to identify issues, implement fixes, contribute to automation initiatives, and participate in firm-wide projects. Technical Expectations Strong understanding of Java is required. There will be a Java coding/interview round, so candidates should be comfortable with basic programming concepts and coding. SQL is important. Candidates should be familiar with joins, aggregate functions, and indexing basics. Linux knowledge is preferred, including commands such as grep, find, ps, chmod, and basic shell scripting. Work Environment Candidates will work with global teams; therefore, good communication skills are essential. The role involves rotational shifts (morning, regular, and afternoon shifts; no night shifts). Regular office attendance is expected for standard shifts. Shift arrangements may vary depending on the team.
