Lead BW/ABAP Consultant-Contractor

About the Company We are looking for an experienced SAP BW/ABAP Consultant to join a global SAP delivery team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, ABAP development, SAP HANA, and S/4HANA, who enjoy designing scalable data solutions and working on enterprise-wide SAP transformation initiatives. About the Role This role involves designing and developing SAP BW/4HANA data models, optimizing custom ABAP programs, and collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Responsibilities Design and develop SAP BW/4HANA data models, including ADSOs, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, and related BW objects. Develop and optimize custom ABAP programs, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, and Object-Oriented ABAP solutions. Build and maintain CDS Views to support reporting, analytics, and modern SAP development practices. Develop custom data extraction frameworks, ODP sources, RFCs, BAPIs, and delta extraction processes. Design and optimize ETL processes, transformations, DTPs, and Process Chains. Perform SAP BW migration and modernization activities from legacy BW environments to BW/4HANA. Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, debugging, and ensure adherence to SAP development best practices. Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions and solution architecture. Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA or BW on HANA. Required Skills Strong expertise in SAP ABAP, including Object-Oriented ABAP, enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, and performance optimization. Experience developing CDS Views and ABAP on HANA (AMDP, SQLScript). Strong understanding of BW data modelling, Process Chains, DTPs, Transformations, and enterprise reporting. Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and data extraction. Knowledge of SAP HANA, SQL, and performance optimization techniques. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or SAP BTP. Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP integration. SAP certifications in BW/4HANA or ABAP. Experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery environments.
