As a Manager of Application Engineers at our company, your role will involve leading a team in a specific product area to execute technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle. This includes tasks such as technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and deployments to drive software sales in both new and existing accounts. You will engage with key customer stakeholders to establish the Ansys value proposition, understand their product design needs, and implement best simulation practices to enhance customer productivity. Additionally, you will collaborate with sales managers to review opportunities, forecast, prioritize resources, and support new business growth initiatives. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring team members, providing guidance, recruiting talent, promoting collaboration, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team of application engineers to execute technical activities in the sales opportunity lifecycle - Engage with key customer stakeholders to understand product design needs and implement best simulation practices - Collaborate with sales managers to review opportunities, forecast, prioritize resources, and support new business growth - Mentor team members, provide guidance, recruit talent, promote collaboration, and contribute to process improvement Qualifications Required: - Master's degree in engineering with 10+ years of experience in engineering analysis and technology using ANSYS or other commercial FEA software - Excellent knowledge of Finite Element Analysis including Structural, Thermal, Vibration, Multi physics, Transient, Nonlinear, Material, Fatigue, and Explicit Dynamics - Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within the organization - Leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to foster collaboration across multiple sites - Demonstrated executive presentation and persuasion skills - Problem-solving aptitude and ability to determine appropriate solutions for customers - Professional image, teamwork orientation, and business acumen - Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% of the time In addition to the above, the company values the motto 'Simulation is more than software,' offering a stimulating and appreciative environment for diverse physics.
