Job Description Senior Manager Engineering (API Plant) Position: Senior Manager Engineering Job Code: 21170 Location: Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. API Plant Department: Engineering / Maintenance Key Responsibilities Lead and manage engineering and maintenance activities for the API manufacturing facility. Ensure effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment to maximize reliability and uptime. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions. Oversee operation and maintenance of critical utility and process equipment, including: Essar Reactors ANFD (Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryer) Chillers HVAC Systems Boilers Dryers Centrifuges Vacuum Systems Coordinate closely with Production, QA, Validation, and EHS teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and company safety standards. Support installation, commissioning, qualification, and performance verification of new equipment and utilities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability, and energy utilization. Manage engineering documentation, SOPs, maintenance records, and audit readiness. Lead engineering teams, contractors, and service providers while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline. Experience: 15+ years of experience in Engineering & Maintenance within API/Pharmaceutical manufacturing plants. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of API plant equipment and utilities. Expertise in maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and RCA. Hands-on experience with reactors, ANFDs, centrifuges, dryers, HVAC, boilers, chillers, and vacuum systems. Knowledge of cGMP, EHS, and regulatory compliance requirements. Strong leadership, team management, and project execution skills. CTC: As per company norms and candidate experience.
