Calsoft - Backend Developer - Python

Role Overview : We are hiring a Python Backend Engineer with strong experience in building scalable backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate should have solid programming fundamentals, experience with modern frameworks, and exposure to CI/CD practices. Familiarity with AI/LLM concepts will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python - Build and optimize RESTful APIs for high performance and scalability - Work with frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI - Write reusable, testable, and efficient code - Implement unit and integration tests using pytest/unittest - Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams - Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices - Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues Required Skills : - Strong proficiency in Python and OOPs concepts - Hands-on experience with Django / Flask / FastAPI - Solid understanding of REST API development - Experience with Git and version control workflows - Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) - Experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest) Good to Have : - Exposure to Generative AI / LLMs (OpenAI or open-source models) - Understanding of prompt engineering, token limits, latency, cost - Familiarity with Linux environments - Basic knowledge of logs, monitoring, and debugging Education : B.Tech / B.E. in any specialization (ref:hirist.tech) Role Overview : We are hiring a Python Backend Engineer with strong experience in building scalable backend systems and APIs.
