Job Title QA Lead Manual Testing (Networking & Embedded Systems) Role Overview We are looking for a QA Lead with robust expertise in manual testing, networking fundamentals, and embedded systems validation. The role involves validating software and hardware-integrated solutions, driving test strategy, and ensuring high-quality deliverables in a complex, system-level environment. The ideal candidate should combine hands-on testing capability with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in Manual QA / System Testing - Proven experience in leading or owning test activities for modules or features Must-Have Skills - Manual Testing Expertise: - Strong experience in functional, system and integration testing - Test case design, execution, defect tracking, and RCA - Strong SQL skills - Networking Fundamentals: - Strong experience in Linux and Linux commands - Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI layers, routing, switching - Experience validating network protocols (e.g., HTTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP) - Ability to analyze logs/packets using tools like Wireshark or similar - Embedded Systems Testing: - Hands-on experience testing systems involving both software and hardware components - Understanding of device-level validation, firmware behavior, and system interactions - Test Leadership - Ability to own test planning, execution, and reporting - Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (Dev, DevOps, Hardware teams) - Ability to articulate defects, risks, and test status clearly to stakeholders Good-to-Have Skills - Experience with log analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting at system level - Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and QA integration Key Responsibilities - Design and execute comprehensive manual test strategies for networking and embedded systems. - Validate end-to-end system behavior across software and hardware layers - Identify, log and track defects with detailed analysis - Collaborate with development and hardware teams to resolve issues efficiently - Drive quality improvements and ensure release readiness.
