About the role
As an Application Support Engineer with 03 years of experience in Linux/Windows environments, your role will involve ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of applications. You will be responsible for providing application support, incident management, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, managing Apache and Tomcat servers, analyzing logs, and debugging application/system issues. Additionally, you will work on SQL/Oracle databases, handle deployments, support CI/CD pipelines, ensure SLA adherence, and coordinate with other teams for issue resolution. Key Responsibilities: - Provide application support and incident management for production systems - Monitor system performance using hardware/software monitoring and trending tools - Troubleshoot issues in Linux and Windows environments - Manage and support Apache and Tomcat servers - Analyze logs and debug application/system issues - Work on SQL/Oracle databases for query execution, troubleshooting, and performance tuning - Handle deployments and support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Docker and Jenkins - Ensure SLA adherence and timely resolution of incidents and service requests - Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and database teams for issue resolution - Maintain documentation for incidents, processes, and knowledge base articles - Support SaaS applications hosted in data center environments Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows OS administration - Experience with Apache and Tomcat servers - Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools - Good understanding of log analysis and troubleshooting techniques - Working knowledge of SQL/Oracle databases - Familiarity with Docker and Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines) - Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management) - Knowledge of SaaS applications and data center operations Preferred Skills: - Strong knowledge of Linux commands - RHCSA certification (preferred) - Basic networking knowledge Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Good communication skills - Ability to work in night shifts and handle production support - Team player with a proactive attitude As an Application Support Engineer with 03 years of experience in Linux/Windows environments, your role will involve ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of applications.
