About the role
As a Quality Control (QC) Engineer fresher, you will be joining our QA team to ensure software quality through various testing activities. You should have a strong understanding of Manual Testing concepts and some knowledge of Automation Testing using Selenium and Java. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze business and functional requirements to create effective test scenarios and test cases. - Perform manual testing of web and enterprise applications. - Execute various types of testing including Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). - Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the testing lifecycle. - Validate bug fixes and conduct retesting activities. - Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting. - Support automation testing efforts by executing and maintaining automation scripts. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure product quality. - Prepare and maintain testing documentation and test evidence. Required Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Proficiency in Test Case Design Techniques and Defect Life Cycle. - Experience in various testing types including Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). - Knowledge of Test Planning and Test Execution. - Familiarity with defect reporting and tracking tools. - Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and testing. - Working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Java programming fundamentals. - Understanding of automation frameworks and test automation concepts. - Experience with XPath, CSS Selectors, and Web Element Locators. - Basic knowledge of Data-Driven and Keyword-Driven Frameworks. Educational Qualification: - B.Tech - B.Sc (Computers) In addition, any internship, certification, or project experience in Software Testing, knowledge of API Testing tools like Postman, familiarity with version control tools such as Git, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and documentation skills would be advantageous for this role.
