About the role
Description: 1. Overall Project Management Experience & Role Expectations Minimum 10+ years of total professional experience. Must have end-to-end Project Management experience. Must have operated as a dedicated Project Manager/TPM, not in an ad-hoc or backup capacity. Proven experience managing complex technical projects across the full lifecycle: Initiation Planning Execution Monitoring & Control Closure Prior experience in financial services / finance domain/asset management is strongly preferred 2. Core Project Planning & Execution (Mandatory) The Project Manager must demonstrate strong ownership and structured execution capability. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria. Develop and maintain : Detailed project plans, Timelines, work breakdown structures (WBS), dependencies, and critical paths. Track and manage: Schedule adherence, Scope changes, Dependency risks. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within approved scope at agreed quality levels. 3. Technical Coordination & Delivery Management (Mandatory) The Project Manager acts as the bridge between business and engineering teams. Work closely with all involved teams : Below are a few teams for reference. Product Managers / Product Owners Engineering Managers Software Development teams QA / Testing teams Architecture and platform stakeholders Ensure technical teams clearly understand: Requirements Priorities Delivery timelines Proactively resolve: Technical dependencies Cross-team blockers Drive alignment between business expectations and technical feasibility 4. Agile Project Management & Delivery (Mandatory) Strong hands-on experience with Agile delivery models Must be well-versed with Agile frameworks and ceremonies, including Sprint planning Daily stand-ups Sprint reviews Retrospectives Backlog grooming/refinement Collaborate effectively with Product Owners to: Maintain and prioritize backlogs Plan sprint goals Release milestones Experience working in: Agile-only environments (Must have) Hybrid setups (Agile + classical/waterfall project management) 5. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management (Mandatory) Identify project risks proactively (technical, delivery, resourcing, dependency-related) Maintain and update: Risk registers Issue logs Define and implement mitigation and contingency plans Escalate risks/issues appropriately with clear impact analysis and recommendations 6. Stakeholder & Communication Management (Mandatory) Strong ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders Act as the single point of accountability for project status and delivery communication Provide: Regular project status updates Executive-level reporting when required Facilitate decision-making by presenting: Clear data Risks, trade-offs, and impacts 7. Classical Project Management Knowledge (Mandatory) Solid understanding of basic and advanced project management terminologies, including: Scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, resource, and stakeholder management Experience using classical/traditional PM methodologies is preferred, especially in regulated environments Ability to adapt processes based on project context (Agile vs Waterfall vs Hybrid) 8. Financial & Budget Management (Nice to Have) Exposure to project financials, including: Budget planning Cost tracking Forecasting Ability to identify and communicate: Cost overruns Resource utilization gaps 9. Soft Skills & Professional Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfort working with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
