We are seeking an Application Support Engineer with 3+ years of experience in SQL and Core Banking applications. The candidate will be responsible for production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth operation of banking applications. Key Responsibilities Provide L1/L2 application support for Core Banking applications. Monitor application health and resolve production issues within SLA. Analyze and troubleshoot application, database, and interface-related issues. Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and issue resolution. Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for incident resolution. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare incident reports. Support application deployments, releases, and maintenance activities. Monitor batch jobs and interfaces between banking systems. Handle user queries and provide timely resolutions. Ensure compliance with banking and security standards. Required Skills Strong knowledge of SQL (Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL). Experience in Application Production Support. Understanding of Core Banking concepts such as: Customer Management CASA (Current & Savings Accounts) Loans Deposits Payments & Transactions Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy. Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting. Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Bangalore .
