About the role
As an End User Desktop Support Technician at our company, your role will involve providing hands-on technical support to employees on-site, covering a range of devices including Mac, Windows laptops, and mobile devices. From diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues to managing hardware assets, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations within the IT environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide in-person technical support for macOS and Windows laptops, desktops, and mobile devices - Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including peripheral setup and connectivity problems - Support AV equipment, printers, and conference room technology - Set up new devices for employees, including account provisioning and software installation - Maintain an organized workspace and ensure proper functioning of equipment - Perform troubleshooting on macOS and Windows environments - Manage device imaging and deployment using tools like Jamf or Intune - Apply OS updates, patches, and configuration profiles for security compliance Asset Management: - Maintain accurate records of hardware assets throughout their lifecycle - Conduct audits of hardware inventory and reconcile with the asset management system - Coordinate device refresh cycles and manage retirement of end-of-life equipment - Track software licenses and accessory inventory AV & Network Troubleshooting: - Provide support for conference room AV setups and troubleshoot connectivity issues - Perform basic network troubleshooting including Wi-Fi connectivity and IP conflicts - Coordinate with the network team for complex issues ITSM & Ticketing: - Log, track, prioritize, and resolve support tickets using ServiceNow or similar platforms - Maintain accurate ticket documentation and meet defined SLA targets - Identify recurring issues and propose preventive solutions Qualifications Required: - 24 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk role - Hands-on support experience - Proficiency in macOS troubleshooting and familiarity with Windows 10/11 - Experience with device imaging, hardware asset management, and ITSM tools - Familiarity with MDM platforms and basic network troubleshooting skills As part of our team, you are expected to have a strong customer service mindset, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly and professionally.
