About the role
As an End User Desktop Support Technician at our company, you will play a crucial role in providing hands-on technical support to our employees across various devices and platforms. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, setting up new devices for onboarding, maintaining hardware assets, troubleshooting AV equipment and network issues, as well as managing ITSM tickets. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect in this role: - Provide in-person technical support for macOS, Windows laptops, desktops, and mobile devices - Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including peripheral setup and connectivity problems - Support AV equipment, printers, and conference room technology - Set up and configure new devices for employee onboarding - Maintain a clean and organized workspace - Perform hardware and software troubleshooting on macOS and Windows environments - Manage device imaging and deployment processes - Apply OS updates, patches, and configuration profiles - Maintain accurate records of hardware assets - Conduct audits of hardware inventory - Troubleshoot conference room AV setups and network issues - Log, track, prioritize, and resolve support tickets using ITSM platforms Qualifications required for this role include: - 24 years of hands-on experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk role - Strong proficiency in macOS troubleshooting and familiarity with the Apple ecosystem - Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and common enterprise applications - Experience with device imaging and deployment processes - Understanding of hardware asset lifecycle management - Practical experience with ITSM tools and MDM platforms - Basic network troubleshooting skills - Strong customer service mindset and effective communication skills If you have Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or CompTIA A+ certification, it would be considered a plus.
