Job Description: Azure Data Platform Lead Position Overview Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale Azure data platform solutions, driving modern data architecture initiatives and establishing best practices for data engineering and analytics. Key Responsibilities Platform Architecture & Strategy: Design and implement scalable data platform architectures using Azure services (Synapse, Data Factory, Fabric, SQL Database)Establish data lakehouse and data warehouse solutions with medallion architecture patternsDefine data governance frameworks, security protocols, and compliance standardsLead platform evaluations, vendor selections, and technology roadmap planning Technical Implementation Architect data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources including databases, APIs, files, and streaming systemsDesign and optimize ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, Spark, and Azure native servicesImplement data quality frameworks, monitoring, and alerting systemsEstablish CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and infrastructure as code Integration & Optimization: Design seamless integrations with BI tools, analytics platforms, and downstream systemsOptimize performance, cost, and scalability through automated resource managementEnable advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities on the platformLead data migration projects and platform modernization initiatives Required Qualifications Technical Expertise 7+ years Azure data platform experience (Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, SQL Database, Storage)Expert-level SQL, Python, and experience with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala)Strong understanding of data architecture patterns, data modeling, and distributed systemsExperience with Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and infrastructure automationKnowledge of data governance tools and frameworks (Microsoft Purview preferred) Platform Experience Hands-on experience with modern data stack components and cloud-native architecturesRESTful API integration, real-time streaming, and batch processing systemsEnterprise data warehouse and analytics platform implementationPerformance tuning, cost optimization, and capacity planning experience Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineersExperience presenting technical solutions to stakeholders at all levelsStrong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilitiesProject management experience with data platform initiatives Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Azure certifications (Data Engineer Associate, Solutions Architect Expert)Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform integrationMachine learning and AI model deployment experienceMulti-cloud platform knowledge and cloud migration experienceIndustry-specific data architecture experience (retail, financial services, healthcare) About Us At Codvo, we are committed to building scalable, future-ready data platforms that power business impact.
