About the role
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Job Responsibilities: Performs hands-on operation of optical dicing process All optical sizing steps performed per procedure to a 0% reject standard. Quality of product and throughput rate meets or exceeds departmental goals. Product quality meets internal and external customer specifications. Works with the team to meet delivery goals Improve processes under the guidance of supervision. All steps are performed per policy and procedure Job Requirements: Reliable and Accountable Strong sense of ownership Quality first mindset Basic reading and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Experience with networked PC based computer systems. Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Skills Capable of applying basic math to product activities
Ability to understand and interpret product drawings (blueprints)
Ability to meet tight time schedules
Familiarity with precision optics manufacturing and metrology
Work in environment with open communication
Perform tasks independently with minimal guidance from supervisor
Ability to follow work priorities and multi-task when needed
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, and competency
Working Conditions This role is 100% onsite Highly repetitive working conditions Swing shift 3:00pm - 11:30pm PST shift deferential applies (Training for this position will occur on dayshift until fully trained)
Physical Requirements On occasion be able to lift 40lbs. Long periods of standing/walk
Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards. Consistently prioritize safety in all aspects of daily operations.
