Job Title : Senior Virtual Cloud Engineer , Red Hat OpenStack & OpenShift Organization: CSC Data Services India Ltd Location : Noida Department : Data Center Operation - Cloud Infrastructure Experience Required : 6 ~ 9 Years Educational Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Reporting To: Cloud Infrastructure Manager / Head Cloud Operations Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and certified Senior Virtual Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Red Hat OpenStack and Red Hat OpenShift environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and optimizing private and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments while ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical expertise in virtualization, cloud orchestration, container platforms, Linux administration, and enterprise cloud operations. Key Responsibilities Deploy, configure, administer, and support Red Hat OpenStack and OpenShift environments. Manage cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and container platforms. Monitor cloud platform performance, availability, and capacity planning. Implement and maintain high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure issues. Manage Kubernetes container orchestration and OpenShift clusters. Support cloud automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives. Work closely with DevOps, application, security, and infrastructure teams for cloud integration and deployment activities. Implement cloud security policies, patch management, and compliance controls. Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance tuning, and operational efficiency. Handle upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management of cloud environments. Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational reports. Provide L2/L3 support for cloud infrastructure and virtualization environments. Required Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with: Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) Kubernetes & Container Technologies Linux Administration (RHEL) Virtualization Technologies (KVM, VMware) Software Defined Networking (SDN) Ceph Storage Cloud Networking & Security Automation Tools (Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD Integration Knowledge) Good understanding of: Hybrid Cloud Architecture Private Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring & Logging Tools Backup & Disaster Recovery Infrastructure Security Best Practices Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python is preferred. Required Competencies Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to manage mission-critical cloud environments. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to work in 24x7 support and production environments. Strong understanding of cloud operations and service delivery. Preferred Certifications Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Red Hat OpenStack Certification Kubernetes Certifications (CKA / CKAD) Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in the following industries are preferred: Cloud Service Providers Data Center Operations Managed Service Providers Telecom & ICT Enterprise IT Infrastructure System Integration Companies Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Cloud Platform Availability & Uptime SLA Compliance & Incident Resolution Time Infrastructure Stability & Performance Successful Cloud Deployment & Migration Automation & Operational Efficiency Security & Compliance Adherence
