Engineer - Central Engineering, Relay Protection P&C Standards

Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of engineering work experience. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in relay protection and/or control systems engineering disciplines, required. or

Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of engineering work experience. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in relay protection and/or control systems engineering disciplines, required.

Relevant Work Experience A minimum of two years of relevant experience in relay protection and/or control systems engineering disciplines, required. Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required. Proficiency in using PSS/E CAPE, Aspen or equivalent fault study analysis tools, required. Experience with various microprocessor relay platforms and software, required. Ability to write engineering specifications and standards, preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills Effective interpersonal skills Develops and delivers effective presentations Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.

• Licenses and Certifications Driver's License Required

• Physical Demands Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday Stand to use/operate office equipment for the duration of the workday

Additional Physical Demands The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to travel throughout the company service territory and work at company locations as needed. Ability to wear the required PPE as needed. Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions, and in all weather conditions. Ability to work in power plants and high voltage substations.
