Job Title: Generative AI Engineer – BFSI Domain Location: Mumbai, India Experience: 3–5 years in AI/ML, with 1–3 years hands-on in Generative AI / LLM-based solutions
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Generative AI Engineer with a solid foundation in AI/ML and a strong track record of developing and deploying LLM-based solutions in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain. In this role, you'll design, fine-tune, and integrate cutting-edge LLMs into real-world financial applications—ranging from intelligent document processing to regulatory reporting, chatbots, and advisory tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, fine-tune, and implement LLMs tailored to BFSI-specific use cases such as document summarization, report generation, and intelligent virtual assistants.
Evaluate and apply advanced techniques including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and model fine-tuning.
Build and integrate red-teaming protocols, audit mechanisms, and safeguard features to ensure responsible and secure model deployment in BFSI environments.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and data privacy teams to ensure GenAI outputs adhere to regulatory standards.
Work closely with enterprise architects and product teams to embed GenAI into existing digital platforms and workflows.
Conduct prompt optimization, model alignment, and safety testing to ensure LLMs deliver accurate, explainable, and compliant results.
Preferred Experience:
Demonstrated BFSI experience—ideally in areas like document processing, compliance reporting, or virtual agents powered by GenAI.
Hands-on expertise with RAG pipelines, model alignment, and prompt safety.
A strong grasp of the regulatory nuances within financial AI applications.
Technical Environment:
LLMs: GPT (OpenAI), Claude, LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon
Tools & Libraries: LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pinecone, Weaviate
Frameworks: Transformers (Hugging Face), PEFT, DeepSpeed
APIs: OpenAI, Cohere, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI
Cloud: GCP GenAI Studio, GCP Vertex AI
Others: Prompt engineering, vector databases, RAG architecture, role-based guardrails

3–5 years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 1–3 years hands-on in building or deploying LLM or GenAI-based solutions.
-
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate abstract business requirements into scalable, safe, and compliant AI solutions.
-
Comfortable working in a cross-functional team and dynamic regulatory landscape.
