About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Engineer with deep expertise in Asterisk, SIP, and large-scale VoIP infrastructure to design, optimize, and scale mission-critical telephony systems. This role involves architecting high-availability call platforms, leading complex integrations, and mentoring engineers to build carrier-grade, secure, and compliant solutions. Location : Noida Experience : 6+ years (VoIP), 3+ years in Asterisk core architecture Employment Type : Full-Time Key Responsibilities : - Architecture & Design : 1. Lead design of carrier-grade Asterisk platforms integrated with Kamailio/OpenSIPS, SBCs, and cloud infrastructure. 2. Architect high-availability telephony systems handling millions of minutes/month. 3. Define standards for dialplan architecture, routing logic, and call flow optimization. - Development & Customization : 1. Develop advanced AGI/ARI/AMI applications in Python, Node.js, or Go for predictive dialing, campaign management, and real-time analytics. 2. Build and maintain custom modules and patches for Asterisk to support business-specific needs. 3. Integrate with CRM via APIs. - Performance & Reliability : 1. Optimize SIP trunking, codec negotiation, RTP routing, and transcoding for minimal latency and high call quality. 2. Troubleshoot and resolve complex signaling/media issues using tools like sngrep, Wireshark, Homer, and RTP analyzers. 3. Establish monitoring, alerting, and auto-scaling strategies using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK. - Security & Compliance : 1. Implement VoIP security best practices (SIP TLS, SRTP, fail2ban, ACLs, rate-limiting). 2. Ensure compliance with TRAI/DOT regulations and maintain lawful interception readiness. - Leadership & Mentorship : 1. Mentor SDE-1/SDE-2 engineers on VoIP architecture, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. 2. Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable telephony solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in Asterisk core development & architecture. - Expert-level knowledge of SIP, RTP, codecs (G.711, G.729, Opus), and NAT traversal. - Strong experience with Kamailio/OpenSIPS for SIP routing, load balancing, and failover. - Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Go for AGI/ARI/AMI scripting. - Hands-on with Linux system internals, networking, and VoIP security. - Proven experience in scaling VoIP systems to high concurrency (10K+ channels). - Strong debugging skills using Wireshark, sngrep, and RTP analysis tools. - Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for VoIP workloads. - Experience integrating monitoring, logging, and alerting into VoIP stacks. Preferred Skills : - Experience with WebRTC. - Background in financial domain call center solutions (predictive dialers, compliance recording). - Knowledge of distributed database systems for CDR storage and analytics.
