About the role
We are seeking a L3 VOICE ENGINEER to become an integral part of our client's team! You will be responsible for designing and implementing computer and information networks.
MANDATORY:
· Need 7-10yrs of experience | Cisco SME
· PRIOR DESIGN & ARCHITECT EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
· Experience In - Cisco Call Manager
· SIP Trunk and Line
· Dial Plan
· Upgrades
· Software Management
· Understanding UCC Comm – Unity Connection
· Emergency Responder
· Logging
· Debugging Address
· Resolve complicated High-Complex Issues
· L3 escalation to internal Voice Network Engineering
· Identify “As-Is” infrastructure state, identify architecture issues, identify gaps, and create roadmap to rectify
· Strong with Firewalls, Proxy Servers –create/modify/troubleshoot security policies
· Strong with Network Security, Wireless
· Experience with software load balancers and F5; Strong with BGP & OSPF protocol
· Expert working knowledge in the operation of Ethernet LAN switching protocols and standards including, VLANs, VLAN aggregation, Ether Channel, PVLANs, Spanning Tree & Rapid Spanning Tree, 802.1Q
· Operations support of security environment, troubleshooting, strong with root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution
· Understands typical ramifications of security policy, config, access management changes to firewall & proxy services when performing MACD.
· Proficient in configuration of Firewalls and internet perimeter devices. Understands TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DHCP.
· Understands general networking (Layer 2 and Layer 3) concepts and its function/implications to help in resolving connectivity issues
· Understands Security Operations and help desk ticketing systems, incident response, change management, request management, ticket escalations, etc.
· Will work with extended team members including Sr Engineers, IT, etc.
· Able to work independently and within a team. Self-starter, problem solver, take ownership and follow thru resolving tickets in a timely fashion
· Comm skills: should have clear verbal and written communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities

Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data networks

Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance

Perform network modeling and analysis

Define blueprint designs for business technology initiatives

Enforce policies for standardizing systems
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in networking, IT, or other related fields

Familiarity with architectural specifications

Familiarity with researching communication networks

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Hands-on with any: Wireshark, MS Network Monitor (Netmon), Message Analyzer

Understands ACLs on Cisco Routers, Cisco ASA, or Cisco Firepower

Network Certifications CCNP, CCIE preferred

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
