About the role
We are building an AI-first suite of edtech products spanning teaching, learning, assessment, practice, and partner management. As a Product Manager at NxtWave, you’ll turn strategy into roadmap milestones, shipping high-quality experiences across web and mobile that improve learning outcomes and business results. Scope and expectations will be calibrated to experience (PM-L1 or PM-L2). What You’ll Do Strategy & Discovery Translate company/category strategy into a clear product narrative and roadmap milestones.
Drive customer discovery through interviews, JTBDs, and journey maps.
Analyze opportunities with data; run competitive scans and build-vs-buy assessments.
AI-first Product Delivery Ship features leveraging LLMs, agents, retrieval, and automation ; write crisp PRDs/DRDs.
Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data to deliver in short cycles with strong rollout hygiene.
Maintain backlog clarity and sequencing across multiple initiatives in a pod.
Metrics, Insights & Growth Define success metrics; instrument events; build dashboards; run A/B tests.
Analyze cohorts, funnels, and retention; translate insights into iteration plans.
Collaborate with Growth on activation, engagement, and SEO/content strategies.
Stakeholder & GTM Alignment Work closely with Business Owners (P&L), CX/Support, and Marketing to ensure impact.
Create storytelling docs for decisions and drive cross-functional alignment.
Enable internal teams with release notes, playbooks, and GTM handoff.
Quality, Risk & Ethics Own pre-launch checklists, QA gates, and safe rollouts; drive post-launch adoption.
Ensure learner privacy, data safety, and ethical use of AI in features.
EdTech Nuance Incorporate pedagogy, assessment integrity, and accessibility.
Collaborate with Curriculum/Content teams on pipelines and standards.
Success in First 90–180 Days Ship 2+ milestones impacting a core KPI (learning outcome or revenue driver).
Establish a healthy experiment cadence and decision rhythm (measure → learn → iterate).
Improve partner satisfaction through clear plans and reliable delivery.
Qualifications

Must-haves 3+ years of product management experience with end-to-end ownership (0→1 and/or 1→n) .

Fluency with product analytics ( SQL/Sheets + Amplitude/Mixpanel ) and experimentation.

Hands-on exposure to modern AI stacks ( OpenAI/Agents, LangChain/LangGraph, vector DBs, RAG ) and agentic orchestration platforms (e.g., CrewAI).

Strong written communication and storytelling; comfortable presenting to execs.

Ability to work fast under ambiguity; prioritize and make trade-offs effectively.

Nice-to-haves Experience in EdTech, learning science, gamification, or subscription growth.

Platform integrations experience (payments, identity, CRM).

Ownership of revenue/cost levers or multi-team coordination.
Compensation
Fixed salary, annual variable component, and multi-year retention component; aligned to level and experience.
