Associate Product Manager Internship · NIAT Success Pod Duration 6 months, Full-time Location On-site — Hyderabad, Telangana Eligibility Final year engineering student or recent graduate (0–1 year out) Stipend ₹35,000 / month

About Nxtwave & Niat

NxtWave is a Hyderabad-based EdTech company building industry-ready engineering graduates. NIAT is NxtWave’s on-campus B.Tech program, currently running across 18 partner universities in India. At its core, NIAT is an operational platform — four connected apps (student, parent, instructor, admin) that replace manual coordination work with system-driven processes. The NIAT Success pod is the product team that builds and improves this platform. This internship is a seat inside that pod. WHAT THIS ROLE IS This is not a traditional PM internship where you shadow meetings and write PRDs. You’ll work directly with the PM, contribute to real product decisions, and build working prototypes as part of your day-to-day. You’ll be mentored closely — on how to think about problems, how to frame solutions, and how to operate inside a fast-moving product team. If you’re willing to learn and show up prepared to do the work, there is a lot here for you. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON Build & prototype: Use AI-assisted tools (Replit, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or whatever you prefer) to build POCs fast. A working version quickly beats a perfect one slowly.

Iterate: A rough prototype that teaches you something is more valuable than a clean mockup that doesn’t. Build, learn, improve.

Write clearly: Problem framing, decision logs, short feature briefs. Tight writing that makes your thinking easy to follow.

Track metrics: Pull numbers after something ships, spot patterns, and flag what’s working and what isn’t. You’ll learn how to read product data on the job.

Understand the system: Not to write production code, but to know where a change might break something before proposing it.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT Stakeholder management — the PM owns that.

A spec-writing or PRD-heavy PM internship.

A passive learning experience. You’ll be supported, but real output is expected — not just observations.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Final year engineering student or recent graduate (up to 1 year out). No prior PM experience needed. What matters more: you’ve been curious enough to build things on your own, you’re comfortable with ambiguity, and you’re genuinely open to being coached. If you’ve used AI tools to solve a real problem — even a small one — that tells us more than most CVs do. We’re looking for someone who asks good questions, takes feedback well, and doesn’t wait to be told exactly what to do next. HOW TO APPLY Shortlisted applicants will receive a short problem statement with a defined timeline to build a working POC and walk us through it. There’s no single right answer — we’re evaluating how you approach the problem, how fast you move, and how clearly you explain what you built and why. To be considered, send your CV and a brief note on something you’ve built (a tool, a script, a prototype — anything that solved a real problem) to: careers@nxtwave.tech — Subject: APM Intern – NIAT It doesn’t have to be impressive. It just has to be real.

One address, no account. We’ll tell you when matching roles go live.
