As a RUST Engineer at DDN Storage, you will play a crucial role in creating storage solutions for highly data-intensive workloads. Your primary focus will be on the EMF framework, a platform for deployment, management, and monitoring of an HPC Filesystem, written entirely in Rust. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and scalability of AI workloads for various industries. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop software for new features and maintain existing features. - Analyze bug reports and implement software fixes across multiple platforms. - Collaborate with the Engineering manager and a geographically distributed team to understand product requirements. - Contribute to product documentation and ensure its accuracy. - Assist in performance tuning of features for specific environments and use-cases. Qualifications: - BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree/experience. - Minimum 4 years of software development experience in Linux environments with proficiency in Rust, C/C++, Bash scripting, or similar languages. - Prior experience in Linux system administration is a plus. - Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a self-starter attitude. - Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work under tight deadlines. - Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, and Github is preferred. - Bonus points for experience with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems and distributed systems.
