Back To Results (AME4504) QA Analyst 2 Torrance, CA Contract Full-Time 202095 Apply POSITION IS LOCATED IN TORRANCE, CA Job Description: Job Duties: Analyze, design, and execute technical validation strategies for a suite of connected digital products and mobile IoT applications and services, in parallel with vehicle systems, across multiple projects in development and currently maintained in-market. Validate application behavior, system integrations, APIs, data flows, and connected vehicle functionality against technical requirements and production quality standards. Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements for connected digital products, mobile applications, IoT services, APIs, and vehicle integration points to define validation scope, system behavior expectations, and technical test coverage. Design technical test strategies, validation scenarios, and test coverage models for mobile application functionality, connected vehicle features, backend services, APIs, data flows, and system integrations. Validate API behavior, backend data processing, data flow accuracy, service responses, and integration points using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, SQL, and CI/CD validation outputs. Perform technical defect analysis and root-cause investigation for mobile, IoT, telematics, API, database, and integration issues; assess downstream system impacts and support resolution with development and architecture teams. Evaluate technical release readiness by analyzing regression results, integration risks, defect severity, system dependencies, and production impact across connected digital products and services. Create and maintain technical validation documentation, test design artifacts, defect analysis summaries, traceability matrices, and release readiness findings. Position Criteria: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience 5+ years of software testing, technical QA, application validation, or system integration testing experience 5+ years of system, data workflow, or application behavior analysis experience Strong customer-focused mindset Experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall software methodologies Experience validating mobile application functionality, platform behavior, and integration points across iOS and Android Experience performing technical validation within a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, including review of build behavior, regression results, and release readiness indicators Experience using Atlassian defect tracking and management tools (Jira / Confluence) to document technical defects, analyze root cause trends, and track resolution of application, API, data, and integration issues Desired Skills: 5+ years of automotive industry experience supporting technical validation, system integration testing, and software/application delivery for connected digital products 3+ years of telematics, connected vehicle, consumer electronics, embedded software, or IoT validation experience, including analysis of application behavior, device/service interactions, and system integration points Strong technical analysis, defect triage, root-cause investigation, and problem-solving ability Prior experience working with cross-functional technical teams across regions to analyze requirements, validate system behavior, and resolve application, data, API, and integration issues Prior experience using SQL or MSSQL SELECT queries to validate application data, analyze data flows, investigate defects, and confirm backend system behavior Prior experience with API validation using Postman or SoapUI, including request/response analysis, integration testing, error handling validation, and service behavior troubleshooting Experience reviewing CI/CD validation results, regression outcomes, and release readiness risks for mobile, IoT, and connected services A stable work history with large enterprise organizations The hiring range for this position is $52.00 to $59.00 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions.
