Software Engineer - Data Science & AI Engineering (Entry Level)

Eficens Systems Inc is seeking a curious and motivated entry-level Data Scientist / AI Engineer to join our AI & Data Science team. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about machine learning, LLMs, and cutting-edge AI technologies. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and data scientists on real-world applications using both structured and unstructured data. Assist in building and testing machine learning models using Python (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy). Support data preparation, cleaning, and exploratory analysis on large datasets. Learn to fine-tune LLMs (GPT, LLaMA, Falcon) and build prompts for NLP tasks. Help implement simple RAG workflows using embedding APIs and vector databases. Support MLOps pipelines using tools like MLflow, DVC, and Git. Collaborate with team members on building dashboards and data visualizations. Document experiments, training results, and performance metrics. Attend sprint reviews, design discussions, and participate in code reviews. Bachelor’s degree in any STEM or related field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent. Basic Python and SQL skills; familiarity with Jupyter notebooks. Exposure to AI/ML frameworks like scikit-learn, Hugging Face, or TensorFlow. Academic projects involving data analysis, NLP, or deep learning. Strong interest in LLMs, MLOps, and Generative AI. Willingness to learn and contribute to fast-paced AI development projects.
