Digantara is a leading Space Surveillance and Intelligence company focused on ensuring orbital safety and sustainability With expertise in space-based detection, tracking, identification, and monitoring, Digantara provides comprehensive domain awareness across regimes, allowing end users to have actionable intelligence on a single platform At the core of its infrastructure lies a sophisticated integration of hardware and software capabilities aligned with the key principles of situational awareness: perception (data collection), comprehension (data processing), and prediction (analytics) This holistic approach empowers Digantara to monitor all Resident Space Objects (RSOs) in orbit, fostering comprehensive domain awareness Digantara is seeking senior satellite RF/ Communication systems engineer to conceptualize, architect the cubesat/ microsat Telemetry Tracking and Command (TTC) and data transmission systems You will leverage the experience in leading a team of engineers to design, develop and realize sate of art TTC transceiver and data transmitters for cubesat/microsat Why Us Competitive incentives, galvanizing workspace, blazing team ? pretty much everything you have heard about a startup + you get to work on space technology Hustle in a well-funded startup allowing you to take charge of your responsibilities and create your moonshot Ideal Candidate Someone with deep expertise in leading the design, development of Cubesat/Microsat Telemetry Tracking and Command (TTC) and Data transmission systems with strong focus on miniaturisation, performance and reliability Responsibilities Architect the S-band TTC transceiver, X-band data transmitter subsystems and optimize their configuration for Cubesat/Microsat satellites in Low Earth Orbit Carry out system level trade-off studies in collaboration with other subsystem and payload engineers and maintain specifications, interface control documents Lead the team of engineers specialized in TM transmitter, TC receiver, payload data transmitter and antenna systems design Develop and analyse the Link budgets and collaborate closely with ground station operators Select components to develop robust and miniaturised S-band TTC transceiver and X-band data transmitters Execute comprehensive tests at subsystem, satellite level and resolve the observations during the development lifecycle, integration and test phases Qualifications Tech/B 6 to 10 years of proven track record in design, development of TTC/data transmission systems for Low Earth Orbit satellites Deep understanding of RF transceiver architectures, RF front end design, digital signal processing and satellite RF systems development life cycle Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Software Defined Radio (SDR) implementation, and PCB schematic design tools (OrCAD/Altium designer, ADS etc) Knowledge of CCSDS standards and experience with ground station compatibility tests Strong expertise in understanding and implementation of EMI/EMC control with best design practices Preferred Skills Knowledge of satellite launch and early orbit phase, normal phase operations Working knowledge with satellite ground station operations and inter-satellite links Proficiency in VHDL/Embedded C is an advantage Knowledge of the latest trends in miniaturization of communication systems for cubesat/microsat Good understanding of satellite subsystems and systems-first development approach Familiarity with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) to test RF/ communication subsystem General Requirements Ability to work in a mission-focused, operational environment Ability to think critically and make independent decisions Interpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic team Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule Writing and delivering technical documents and briefings Verbal and written communications skills as well as organizational skills Travel occasionally as necessary Join Digantara and be part of dynamic team pushing the boundaries of satellite technology!
