Job Title: Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer E-commerce Platform Location: Hyderabad / Remote, negotiable Experience: 4 / 5 years Joining: Immediate About DOCK-Y DOCK-Y is a technology-driven mobility company headquartered in Warwick, England. The team is building next-generation active mobility products with a strong focus on safety, intelligent design and advanced rider-assist systems. The company aims to redefine premium urban mobility for Indias next generation of riders, with a sharp focus on HNIs, urban professionals, corporate fleets and luxury lifestyle segments. Role Overview This role will focus on building a premium customer-facing e-commerce experience for DOCK-Y across India and UK/EU storefront journeys, including product discovery, product detail pages, cart, checkout, account, order history and post-order flows. Role Purpose The Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer will help build the DOCK-Y marketplace interface for premium bikes, e-bikes, e-scooters, motorcycles, accessories and related mobility products. The role is responsible for translating the premium DOCK-Y design language into responsive, fast, accessible and conversion-friendly pages. The engineer will work closely with the CTO on implementation and with the CEO for design/brand approval checkpoints. Key Responsibilities Marketplace UI Build: Implement high-performance home, shop, product detail, cart, checkout, order confirmation, and order history interfaces using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS. Premium design execution: Preserve DOCK-Ys premium visual identity through clean spacing, strong typography, minimal UI, a green accent system, product-led layouts and a high-end mobility brand feel. Responsive Implementation: Ensure all pages work flawlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile, managing sticky header behaviors, product card grids, complex filters, modals, dynamic forms, and checkout flows. Component Development: Build highly reusable, modular components such as product cards, quantity steppers, status pills, account dropdowns, multi-option filters, empty states, promotional banners, form fields, and administrative UI sections. Cart and Checkout UI: Integrate production-ready frontend flows for add-to-cart, buy-now actions, real-time quantity updates, item removal, dynamic subtotal displays, address validation forms, payment option selection, and order notes. Admin interface support: Create clean admin screens for product management, stock/pricing updates, banner management and SKU/product metadata display. SEO and metadata support: Add page-level SEO metadata, product JSON-LD structure where required, clean image alt text and social sharing-friendly page structure. Accessibility Standards: Enforce semantic HTML, keyboard-friendly control routing, readable contrast ratios, visible focus states, correct ARIA labels, and predictable user navigation layouts. Quality assurance: Test pages across browsers and screen sizes, fix layout bugs, align spacing, prevent horizontal scroll issues and document UI defects clearly. Collaboration: Push small, reviewable changes, write clear pull request notes, participate in weekly demos and respond to feedback from management. Required Qualifications Educational Background: A completed degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Design Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is required. Proven Portfolio: Candidates must present a GitHub profile, professional portfolio, or deployed commercial applications demonstrating advanced frontend engineering capabilities. Core Frontend Stack: We require a strong, production-tested working knowledge of React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, REST API integration, and standard Git/GitHub collaborative workflows. Code Quality: The engineer must demonstrate the ability to write clean, highly readable, and maintainable code backed by clear engineering documentation. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for communicating technical progress, blockers, and architectural questions clearly to the team. Industry Domain Interest: Background experience or a strong professional affinity for premium digital consumer brands, electric vehicles (EVs), or fast-paced startup environments is highly desirable. Preferred Experience Responsive Application Delivery: Direct experience building and launching fully responsive websites or commercial React/Next.js applications is highly valued. Interactive Interface Development: Prior experience developing and optimizing product cards, product grids, search filters, dynamic forms, or admin dashboards is strongly preferred. Production Tailwind CSS Styling: Proven experience utilizing Tailwind CSS to execute complex layouts in commercial, production-grade projects is expected. Cloud Deployment Workflows: Familiarity deploying systems on Vercel, configuring environment variables, and diagnosing build-time compilation errors is an advantage. BaaS Platform Integration: A basic architectural understanding of integrating frontend states with Supabase Auth or similar backend-as-a-service platforms will be considered a significant plus.
