About the role
As a Data Engineer / Platform Engineer specializing in Amplience CMS integrations, cloud-native data platforms, and API-driven architectures, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines connecting Amplience CMS with downstream enterprise systems. - Building and managing RESTful and GraphQL API integrations for content and product data exchange. - Developing cloud-native workflows for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data. - Collaborating with content, frontend, commerce, and analytics teams to ensure seamless content delivery and availability. - Implementing robust monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting mechanisms for production systems. - Optimizing data storage, processing, and pipeline performance for scalability and cost efficiency. - Ensuring data quality, consistency, governance, and security standards across systems. - Supporting CI/CD pipelines and following DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices. - Working on event-driven and asynchronous data processing architectures. - Providing root cause analysis and production support for critical issues. - Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering standards and architectural decisions. Qualifications Required: - 610 years of experience in Data Engineering or Platform Engineering roles. - Hands-on experience with Amplience CMS (Dynamic Content, Content Hub, APIs). - Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or Node.js. - Strong expertise in REST APIs and GraphQL integrations. - Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration tools. - Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. - Knowledge of event-driven architectures using Kafka, SNS/SQS, or Pub/Sub. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. - Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and distributed teams. In addition, experience in eCommerce or Digital Experience platforms, exposure to headless CMS architecture and composable commerce ecosystems, and familiarity with containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes are considered advantageous for this role.
