About the role
Role & responsibilities Develop detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings for mould components using CAD software. Prepare complete manufacturing drawings , detailing, tolerances, GD&T, and assembly drawings. Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation. Design moulds for Injection Moulding, Transfer Moulding, and Compression Moulding applications. Design and optimize gating, runner, venting, cooling, and ejection systems for improved mould performance. Review product drawings and recommend modifications to enhance manufacturability. Coordinate with Machine Shop, Production, Quality, and Tool Room teams during mould manufacturing and trials. Support mould assembly, troubleshooting, validation, and design improvements. Ensure all engineering documents, revisions, and drawings are maintained as per document control procedures. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for mould design, cycle time reduction, and tooling optimization. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety procedures, and engineering best practices. Preferred candidate profile Functional Proficiency in 3D Modelling using SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, NX, or similar CAD software. Strong understanding of Engineering Drawings , GD&T, and detailing standards. Hands-on experience in preparing BOMs and engineering documentation. Thorough knowledge of Injection, Transfer, and Compression Mould Design . Good understanding of Mould Manufacturing Processes , machining, and tooling. Experience in designing Gating, Runner, Venting, Cooling, and Ejection Systems . Knowledge of mould materials, machining tolerances, and manufacturing practices. Familiarity with revision control and engineering change management. Behavioral Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Strong ownership mindset with a focus on quality and timely delivery.
