Role & responsibilities DevOps Engineer Kubernetes (K8s), Helm & CI/CD Experience 7+ Years Location Bangalore Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, Docker, and CI/CD . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized applications in cloud environments. In addition to DevOps responsibilities, the candidate should be capable of understanding existing application code (Java/Python/Golang) and contributing to development activities such as bug fixes, configuration changes, and deployment automation whenever required. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure for production and non-production environments. Create, manage, and maintain Helm Charts for application deployments. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible). Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and release management. Understand existing application code and contribute to development by fixing defects, enhancing features, or updating configurations. Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures. Configure Kubernetes resources such as Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, and Secrets. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or similar tools. Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of applications. Participate in production support, incident management, and on-call rotations when required. Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) . Experience creating and maintaining Helm Charts . Good knowledge of Docker and containerization. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Experience with Terraform or Ansible. Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills. Good understanding of Git and version control. Experience with cloud platforms ( AWS , Azure , or GCP ). Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana . Ability to troubleshoot Kubernetes production issues. Basic programming or scripting knowledge in Java, Python, Golang, or Bash . Ability to understand, debug, and modify existing application code. Preferred Skills GitOps tools (ArgoCD or FluxCD). Istio or Service Mesh. OpenShift. NGINX Ingress Controller. Kafka. Spring Boot Microservices. SonarQube. Nexus/Artifactory. ELK Stack. Security scanning tools such as Trivy or Aqua. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5–10 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
