Cloud Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead an audit consulting engagement focused on assessing the client current Databricks implementation on Azure and its integration with Azure DevOps. The primary goal of this engagement is to evaluate the existing setup, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations for scaling from Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to full production.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an As Is assessment of the client current Azure DevOps and Databricks infrastructure.

• Review and validate existing PoCs to determine scalability and production readiness.

• Assess and recommend Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to enable automation and standardization.

• Deliver a detailed audit report with best practices, risks, and optimization opportunities.

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to support design efforts and roadmap definition.

• Provide guidance on infrastructure deployment practices and cost optimization strategies.

• Key Outcomes:

• Comprehensive audit report of current Databricks on Azure environment.

• Recommendations for scaling PoCs to production.

• Actionable roadmap and proposal options for future implementation.

• Mandatory Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure.

• Strong expertise in Azure Databricks (architecture, governance, scaling, and operations).

• Hands on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and integration.

• Deep knowledge of Terraform for automation.

• Proven track record in conducting IS Audits, infrastructure assessments, and providing best practice recommendations.

• Excellent Stakeholder Management and Effective Communication skills.

• Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud security best practices.

• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

• Certifications in Azure or related technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
