About the program EduRankAI invites applications for the position of Natural Language Processing NLP Intern to join its Artificial Intelligence and Language Technologies team. This fulltime internship is designed for students and recent graduates who are passionate about Natural Language Processing NLP, Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models LLMs, Computational Linguistics, Information Retrieval, Semantic Search, Machine Learning, and multilingual language technologies. As an NLP Intern, you will contribute to building intelligent language systems that power EduRankAI's AI Tutor, conversational AI, educational search engines, multilingual translation services, content recommendation systems, questionanswering platforms, and language understanding capabilities across the EduRankAI ecosystem. You will work on realworld NLP challenges involving text understanding, language generation, semantic search, multilingual processing, and intelligent information retrieval while collaborating with experienced AI researchers and NLP engineers. As an NLP Intern, you will collaborate with AI researchers, NLP engineers, machine learning engineers, software developers, linguists, and product teams to design, develop, evaluate, and optimize Natural Language Processing solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing NLP models for text classification, Named Entity Recognition NER, sentiment analysis, document understanding, semantic similarity, question answering, and language generation working with multilingual datasets including Indian languages implementing text preprocessing and tokenization pipelines generating and evaluating embeddings for semantic search assisting in developing retrieval and search pipelines supporting RetrievalAugmented Generation RAG workflows conducting prompt engineering and language model finetuning experiments evaluating NLP models using standard benchmarks and evaluation metrics documenting methodologies, experiments, and findings preparing annotated datasets contributing to multilingual AI research and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate NLP capabilities into productionready educational AI systems. Applicants should possess a strong understanding of Python programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, statistics, and software engineering principles. Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK, spaCy, Scikitlearn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, NumPy, OpenAIcompatible APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, embeddings, vector databases, RetrievalAugmented Generation RAG, semantic search, tokenization, attention mechanisms, BERT, RoBERTa, T5, multilingual language models, Git, Jupyter Notebooks, Linux, cloudbased AI development environments, or AI evaluation frameworks will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory. Knowledge of Large Language Models LLMs, prompt engineering, finetuning, multilingual NLP, translation systems, conversational AI, information retrieval, speechtotext, texttospeech, or computational linguistics will also be beneficial. Candidates with academic projects, hackathons, research publications, AI competitions, opensource contributions, or personal projects involving chatbots, search systems, multilingual AI, or language technologies are strongly encouraged to apply. Throughout the internship, participants will receive structured mentorship, continuous technical guidance, engineering best practices, architecture reviews, code reviews, and exposure to modern Natural Language Processing workflows used in research and production environments. Interns will gain practical experience in multilingual NLP, semantic search, RetrievalAugmented Generation RAG, embedding models, prompt engineering, AI evaluation, technical documentation, collaborative software development, and productiongrade language AI systems while contributing directly to live Artificial Intelligence initiatives. The internship is primarily conducted on-site at the EduRankAI campus under structured mentorship, while remote participation may be permitted only in exceptional, pre-approved cases. Interns will spend approximately five hours each day on live project work, research, engineering, and departmental responsibilities, along with approximately 1.67 hours dedicated to holistic well-being and personal development activities including physical fitness, mindfulness, reading, reflective learning, leadership development, and community engagement. Participants are expected to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, creativity, engineering discipline, timely completion of assigned responsibilities, and adherence to organizational policies, ethical AI standards, intellectual property guidelines, documentation standards, and project timelines. Weekly mentor reviews and performance evaluations will be conducted throughout the internship. Successful completion will be evaluated based on technical competency, research contribution, engineering quality, documentation standards, collaboration, innovation, ownership, professionalism, consistency, and overall contribution.
