About the program EduRankAI invites applications for the position of Prompt Engineering Intern to join its Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI team. This fulltime internship is designed for students and recent graduates who are passionate about Prompt Engineering, Large Language Models LLMs, Generative Artificial Intelligence, AI Evaluation, HumanAI Interaction, Natural Language Processing NLP, Conversational AI, AI Safety, and intelligent automation. As a Prompt Engineering Intern, you will contribute to designing, testing, optimizing, and standardizing prompts that power EduRankAI's AI Tutor, intelligent content generation, AIassisted assessments, automated evaluation systems, educational research tools, and conversational AI products. This role combines creative writing, structured experimentation, analytical thinking, and empirical evaluation to improve the reliability, accuracy, safety, and consistency of AI systems across the EduRankAI ecosystem. As a Prompt Engineering Intern, you will collaborate with AI researchers, Prompt Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, NLP specialists, Product Engineers, Software Developers, and Education Technology teams to develop and optimize prompt pipelines for production AI systems. Your responsibilities will include designing and refining prompts for diverse AI use cases conducting prompt experiments across multiple Large Language Models LLMs developing systematic prompt evaluation frameworks and benchmark datasets analysing AI responses for accuracy, consistency, hallucinations, bias, safety, reasoning quality, and instructional alignment documenting prompt templates, prompt libraries, best practices, failure modes, and optimization strategies supporting RetrievalAugmented Generation RAG workflows assisting with prompt chaining, toolcalling workflows, and agentic AI interactions contributing to AI evaluation methodologies collaborating on prompt pipeline integration with production applications maintaining technical documentation and continuously improving AI system performance through structured experimentation and datadriven decisionmaking. Applicants should possess strong written communication skills, logical reasoning ability, analytical thinking, creativity, and an interest in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI. Familiarity with Python programming, Large Language Models LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAIcompatible APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, RetrievalAugmented Generation RAG, AI evaluation methodologies, Natural Language Processing NLP, Markdown, Git, Jupyter Notebooks, JSON, structured data formats, vector databases, embeddings, conversational AI, and software development workflows will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory. Knowledge of prompt optimization techniques, prompt chaining, AI safety, AI alignment, structured testing methodologies, evaluation metrics, fewshot prompting, chainofthought prompting, function calling, agentic AI frameworks, or model finetuning concepts will also be beneficial. Candidates with academic projects, hackathons, research activities, opensource contributions, content generation experience, AI competitions, technical writing, or personal AI experimentation are strongly encouraged to apply. The internship is primarily conducted on-site at the EduRankAI campus under structured mentorship, while remote participation may be permitted only in exceptional, pre-approved cases. Interns will spend approximately five hours each day on live project work, AI experimentation, prompt engineering, evaluation, research, and departmental responsibilities, along with approximately 1.67 hours dedicated to holistic well-being and personal development activities including physical fitness, mindfulness, reading, reflective learning, leadership development, and community engagement. Participants are expected to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, creativity, documentation standards, engineering discipline, timely completion of assigned responsibilities, and adherence to organizational policies, ethical AI principles, intellectual property guidelines, and project timelines. Weekly mentor reviews and performance evaluations will be conducted throughout the internship. Successful completion will be evaluated based on technical competency, prompt quality, analytical ability, AI evaluation skills, documentation quality, collaboration, innovation, ownership, professionalism, consistency, and overall contribution.
