Etl Test Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced ETL Testing Automation Engineer with expertise in validating enterprise data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data validation, SQL, automation frameworks, and testing large-scale data integration solutions. Experience with modern cloud platforms and Agile methodologies is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute test strategies for ETL/ELT and Data Warehouse projects. Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across multiple source and target systems. Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for ETL and data validation. Create reusable automation scripts to validate large datasets efficiently. Perform source-to-target mapping validation and data reconciliation. Validate data quality, completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing. Develop complex SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation. Perform API validation where required for data integration workflows. Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to understand business requirements. Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies. Generate test reports, metrics, and quality dashboards. Support production validation, deployment verification, and release activities. Strong hands-on experience in SQL and database testing. Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks for ETL validation. Experience testing batch and real-time data pipelines. Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling. Experience working with Agile development methodologies. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Certifications ISTQB Certified Tester Certified Scrum Master (Good to Have) Cloud Certification (AWS / Azure / GCP) Informatica or Snowflake Certification (Preferred) Key Competencies Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
