Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Location: Innovation Tower, Kolkata Experience Required: Minimum 8 years Salary Range: 10 12 LPA Education Qualification: Graduate with Diploma in Computer Applications, MCA, B.Tech, or BE Key Responsibilities Own and manage the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more internet-facing services.Establish and maintain best practices in auto-scaling, release engineering, and high availability.Build, set up, and manage new development tools and infrastructure with a focus on CI/CD, cloud technologies, container orchestration, and security.Design, test, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines ensuring systems are resilient against security threats.Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.Build and maintain highly available production systems, ensuring uptime and performance.Automate processes wherever possible using open-source technologies and tools.Coordinate with external partners and cloud service providers (AWS) during provisioning, outages, or maintenance.Stay updated on CVEs, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors; apply patches proactively.Handle troubleshooting, incident responses, and fixes for products/services.Collaborate closely with development teams to design platforms with scalability, operability, and performance in mind.Participate in a 24x7 on-call roster for production escalations.Primary Skillset Strong experience with Configuration Management.Expertise in managing production infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.Solid Linux/Windows system administration knowledge.Understanding of DNS, Networking (TCP/UDP, IP Routing).Proficiency with OpenSSL, HTTP, Nginx, Ansible, Nagios.Strong AWS cloud knowledge.Hands-on with Kubernetes and other container orchestration services.Experience with CI/CD tools: Git, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline.Deep understanding of DevOps principles.Secondary Skillset Experience managing databases: MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch, MySQL.Scripting with PowerShell or Python.Desired Attributes Innovative, self-driven, and proactive.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.Open to suggestions, responsible, and professional in attitude.Good understanding of eCommerce business functions is an added advantage.Strong sense of discipline and ethics.
