Position: Java Backend Developer Job Type: Permanent Job Type: WFO Notice Period: Immediate Joiner Location: Gurgaon Experience: 5 - 10 Years Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, and Unix/Linux environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in backend development and working with relational databases in high-performance, scalable environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs. Utilize open-source libraries and frameworks to build scalable applications. Develop and maintain Kafka-based streaming and messaging solutions. Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures across relational databases. Work in Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and server-side troubleshooting. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and follow coding best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Contribute to continuous improvement and technology adoption. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Java 8 or above). Strong experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem. Strong understanding of Microservices, Collections, Design Patterns, and Data Structures. Experience developing RESTful APIs. Hands-on experience with Kafka. Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Proficiency in Unix/Linux and shell scripting. Experience with open-source tools and frameworks. Working knowledge of Git. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Skills: Docker and Kubernetes. CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI. Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
